Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 24 April, an official opening ceremony of the Uzbekistan-France Economic Chamber took place in Tashkent.

The initiative was announced by the heads of state during the visit of the President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron to Uzbekistan in 2023.
 
The Economic Chamber of France-Uzbekistan currently unites more than 50 French companies and entrepreneurs, as well as their Uzbek partners.

The Chamber maintains relations with and advises British international countries to improve the business climate. The Chamber also actively acts as a defender of the interests of its French and Uzbek entrepreneurs.

During the event, the parties discussed the prospects for the development of the activities of French companies in Uzbekistan in such priority areas as farming, tourism, mining, energy, etc.

The readiness to provide comprehensive support in the prospects for the development of mutually beneficial projects was voiced.

On the sidelines of the event, the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov and the President of the Economic Chamber of France-Uzbekistan Joanna Golas signed a memorandum on cooperation, which identified specific mechanisms for further interaction within the priority areas of activity of the Chambers.
