Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 18 September 2024, Davron Vakhabov, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, met with Joanna Golas, President of the Uzbekistan-France Economic Chamber.

The Uzbekistan-France Economic Chamber was established in April 2024 following an initiative announced by the Presidents of Uzbekistan and France during Emmanuel Macron’s visit to Uzbekistan in November 2023. The Chamber brings together over 50 French companies and entrepreneurs, as well as their Uzbek partners, and aims to develop trade and economic ties between the two countries.

During the meeting, issues related to expanding bilateral cooperation, increasing trade volumes, and organizing joint roundtables with representatives from the business community and government bodies of both countries were discussed.

Additionally, opportunities for promoting products and services from French and Uzbek companies and establishing joint ventures were explored.

As a result of the meeting, a memorandum of cooperation was signed, outlining the framework for further interaction in key areas of development.
