Uzbekistan and Finland develop relations through culture
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- State Conservatory of Uzbekistan will host opera music night with famous Scandinavian singer Riikka Hakola (soprano) on 16 December 2011, which is part of celebrations of Finland Independence Days in Uzbekistan.

The concert is organized at the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Ministry of Culture and Sport Affairs of Uzbekistan and Ucell trademark, one of mobile communication market leaders in Uzbekistan, which is subsidiary of the Swedish-Finnish telecommunication group TeliaSonera.

Popular pianist Ilkka Paananen will accompany a singer on the piano. The concert is clear evidence of cultural cooperation between Finland and Uzbekistan. Riikka Hakola will sing in duet with the Uzbek singer Ruslan Gafarov.

Finnish-Uzbek relations entered dynamic phase of development. The sides are implementing several projects in various sectors. In November, the sides signed a memorandum of cooperation in metrology. Economic and trade relations are important part of bilateral cooperation.

Roving Ambassador of Finland to Uzbekistan Ms. Tuula Yrjölä said that the strong economic growth of Uzbekistan with development of trade and investment climate will increase interest of Finnish companies to new markets. She said that positive experience of companies, operating in Uzbekistan, can deliver information on existing opportunities to Finnish business circles.
