Uzbekistan and Estonia intensify cooperation in the development of e-government

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 14 April, the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications held a meeting with the Executive Director of the Estonian Academy of Electronic Governance H. Astok.

The meeting was attended by O. Pekos, First Deputy Minister for Development of Information Technologies and Communications.

As noted at the meeting, today Estonia is one of the leaders in Europe and in the world in the implementation and development of e-government. And in this regard, the experience of the Baltic country will be very useful for the development of the “E-Government” system in our country.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in the framework of the development of electronic government and digital development of the two countries, including the transfer of public services to electronic format, improvement of mechanisms for electronic interaction of government bodies in the provision of services to the population and business entities, training of specialists in this area.

Following the meeting, the parties expressed a desire to strengthen partnerships by signing a memorandum, which will reflect the main issues and areas of cooperation.
