Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting was held in Beijing between delegations of the National Social Protection Agency of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Civil Affairs of China.

At the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for developing cooperation in the field of social protection.

Agency director Mansurbek Olloyorov expressed gratitude for holding the meeting and noted the efforts of the Chinese ministry in the field of social assistance. He proposed to begin cooperation in the development of mobile services for older people, the development of services at the local community level and the digitalization of social support.

First Deputy Director of the agency Shakhnoza Mirziyoyeva emphasized the level of development of relations between the two countries and expressed interest in exchanging experience in the field of social protection of children and persons with disabilities.

Following the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed aimed at developing cooperation in the field of social protection between Uzbekistan and China.

The Chinese side was also invited to participate in the World Conference “Social Protection: The Path to Sustainable Development and Equality”, which will be held in Samarkand in 2025.
