Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of businesspeople from China, led by Zhang Baolian, the mayor of Linyi, visited Uzbekistan.

During the visit, a business forum was organized in Tashkent, bringing together representatives from the business communities of both countries across sectors such as tourism, food, transportation, logistics, and others.

The opening ceremony featured speeches from Mayor Zhang Baolian, Deputy Governor of Tashkent Region for Investment and Foreign Trade Najmiddin Khozha Sharipov, Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Umidbek Safarov, and leaders from various ministries and business circles from both sides.

It was noted that the forum would serve as an effective platform for developing direct business connections between the two countries and identifying growth opportunities.

The event included presentations of new investment projects, plenary sessions, and dialogues with foreign investors in "G2B" (Government-to-Business) and "B2B" (Business-to-Business) formats. Several agreements were signed between business representatives of both countries.

Notably, an agreement was reached on cooperation regarding the lease of 30,000 square meters of a China-EU rail container terminal, as well as agreements for the export of sports equipment worth US$330 million.
