The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said that the sides considered current state and perspectives of bilateral cooperation and exchanged opinion on several international and regional issues. The sides underlined positive trend in development of the Uzbek-Canadian relations.

The sides expressed mutual interest in deepening trade-economic relations, first of all, in attraction of advanced experience and technologies of Canada to economy of Uzbekistan through direct investments of Canadian firms.

The sides underlined that implementation of investment projects in energy, machinery, mining, chemistry and petrochemical, as well as agriculture sectors.

In this context, the sides underlined that opening of Navoi free industrial and economic zone and international logistic center at Navoi airport play important role in cooperation.

The sides underlined that perspective cooperation areas are construction of new and reconstruction of existing hotel complexes and tourism zones, as well as exchange of experience in training of specialists and rendering tourism services.

Overall, the sides exchanged opinion on all directions of the Uzbek-Canadian relations, including regional and international issues.
