The press service of the State Tax Committee of Uzbekistan said that the protocol was signed in Brussels, Belgium, on 18 February 2015.

Chairperson of the State Tax Committee of Uzbekistan Botir Parpiyev and Minister of Finance of Belgium Johan Van Overtveldt, as well as Minister of Finance of Flanders region Annemie Turtelboom signed the document.

The protocol introduces changes in line with international standards of tax transparency in sphere of information exchange. It will allow to raise efficiency of tax information exchange in order to fight evasion of tax payments.

The Belgian side underlined that the signed protocol shows mutual interest of both sides to expand and deepen mutual beneficial cooperation.
