Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Minister of Health of Uzbekistan Amrillo Inoyatov met with the delegation of Belarus.

It was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of this country to Uzbekistan Leonid Marinich, the Chairman of the Standing Commission on Health, Physical Culture, Family and Youth Policy of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, Professor Lyudmila Makarina-Kibak and the head of the parliamentary working group on the affairs of Belarusians abroad Valentina Razhanets.

At the meeting, issues of cooperation in the field of maternal and child health, the introduction of the Belarusian management system at the Maternal and Child Health Center in Kashkadarya, improving legislation in this area, as well as training midwives according to Belarusian educational standards were discussed.

The organization of medical events in Uzbekistan with the participation of Belarusian specialists and the holding of the Uzbek-Belarusian Medical Forum in Minsk were also agreed upon, which will help strengthen cooperation in the field of medicine between the two countries.
