Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan and Belarus will create an assembly plant for tractors. MTZ General Director Vitaly Vovk told reporters about this on the sidelines of the II Forum of Regions of Belarus and Uzbekistan, SB.BY reports.

Vitaly Vovk noted that the plant does not lose contact with local consumers; MTZ has a dealer network in Uzbekistan:

“Last year we delivered more than 4,000 tractors here. This is a record for recent years.

In addition, the countries will create an assembly plant for tractors.

We are talking about a pilot project to produce a three-wheeled cotton-growing tractor. In 2024, 500 vehicle kits will be delivered.

According to the general director of MTZ, the Uzbekistan market is very promising for the enterprise. Uzbekistan must be moving towards developing its production base. It is important for us to jointly make a product that will be in demand in Uzbekistan and, possibly, among its neighbors, he said.
