Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On the initiative of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan on 22-26 January, a delegation of more than 100 Uzbek entrepreneurs is on a working visit to the Republic of Belarus.

As part of the visit, on 23 January, a round table and B2B meetings were held in Minsk between representatives of the business community of Uzbekistan and Belarus.

The event was organized in order to expand bilateral business ties, establish and deepen contacts between representatives of Belarusian and Uzbek enterprises and organizations.

From the Belarusian side, more than 170 representatives of enterprises in various fields showed interest in the event.

The business meeting was opened by Chairman of the BelCCI Mikhail Myatlikov, Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Jamshed Urakov, Charge d’Affaires of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Republic of Belarus Rakhmatulla Nazarov.

Representatives of the Bellegprom and Bellesbumprom concerns, as well as the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange, presented to the guests from Uzbekistan the potential of Belarusian organizations in the fields of light industry, woodworking, and the possibility of using the exchange mechanism by enterprises of the two countries in mutual trade.

At the end of the plenary part, business representatives from the two countries continued to work in the format of B2B negotiations to establish direct contacts and discuss specific projects for further mutually beneficial cooperation.
