Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting took place between Davron Vakhobov, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, and Atif Mohammed Al-Hadja, Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bahrain.
The Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry supports policies that promote economic growth and improve the business climate by offering a range of services such as business consulting, training, and networking opportunities. The Chamber plays a crucial role in facilitating trade, attracting foreign investment, and representing the interests of Bahrain’s business community at regional and international forums, contributing to the overall economic development of the kingdom.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the development of trade and economic cooperation between the business circles of Uzbekistan and Bahrain, particularly in the context of organizing mutual visits and joint events.
Special attention was given to cooperation in aluminum production, considering Bahrain’s expertise in this area. In particular, cooperation with Bahrain’s major aluminum company, Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), was discussed.
As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to organize reciprocal visits of business delegations from Uzbekistan and Bahrain by the end of 2024 and to work on further steps to deepen cooperation.
