Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Following the first session of the Supreme Intergovernmental Council between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, a treaty on allied relations was signed.
President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev concluded the Treaty on Allied Relations and approved the decisions made at the first session of the Supreme Intergovernmental Council.
In the presence of the heads of state, the following documents were signed:
- Intergovernmental Agreement on Labor Activities and Protection of Citizens’ Rights
- Cooperation Program between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs for 2025–2026
- Action Plan for Deepening Trade, Economic, and Investment Cooperation
- Protocols on Cooperation in the Fields of Preschool, Vocational, Secondary Special, Higher Education, and Science
- "Road Map" for Cultural and Humanitarian Cooperation for 2024–2026
- Action Plan in the Field of Tourism for 2024–2026
- Cooperation Program between the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the State Agency for Public Services and Social Innovations under the President of Azerbaijan for 2024–2026
- Protocol on Cooperation between the Center for Professional Development of Lawyers under the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Justice Academy of the Ministry of Justice of Azerbaijan
- Agreement on Cooperation between the National Guard of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan
- Protocol on Cooperation between Forensic Examination Centers
During the visit, agreements on cooperation between the cities of Tashkent and Baku, Shahrisabz and Beylagan, Jizzakh and Guba, as well as other bilateral documents, were also concluded.
