Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan hold the II Interregional Forum

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 21 May, the II Interregional Forum between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan was held in Guba. This event was attended by officials and business representatives from both countries.

Azerbaijani Minister of Economy Mikail Jabbarov noted that strengthening the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan is possible thanks to the political will and joint efforts of both countries. He emphasized the role of trade and economic cooperation and investment partnership in strengthening relations between the two countries.

During the forum, cooperation in various industries, such as mechanical engineering, petrochemicals and agriculture, was discussed. The parties also presented their investment potentials and discussed the possibilities of creating joint production ventures.

Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov emphasized the importance of strengthening trade and economic ties with Azerbaijan and expressed confidence in the prospects for cooperation between the regions of the two countries.

During the forum, documents were signed aimed at the further development of bilateral relations, including agreements on twinning relations between the cities of both countries, in particular between the cities of Fuzuli and Gulistan, Bilasuvar and Termez, Mingachevir and Namangan.

The forum also hosted meetings in B2B format, where representatives of the business communities of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan discussed promising areas of cooperation and exchanged ideas about projects.

Also within the framework of the event, the fourth meeting of the Uzbek-Azerbaijani Business Council was held, where the work done was assessed and the possibilities of further strengthening ties between the business communities of the two countries were discussed.

The ministers also visited a number of manufacturing enterprises, where they discussed opportunities for joint activities in the light and processing industries.
