Uzbekistan amputee’s team to kick off World Cup with Turkey match

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Opening ceremony of the World Amputee Championship will take place in Kaliningrad, Russia, on 7 October 2012.

Uzbekistan national amputee’s team will participate in the tournament and the team is main contender for victory in the tournament.

Uzbekistan will start its campaign with Turkey on 7 October. Uzbekistan will also face Japan, Liberia, England and Ukraine.

Twelve teams are participating World Amputee Championship.

Uzbekistan amputees won last two World Cups – in 2007 in Turkey and 2010 in Argentina.
