Uzbekistan Airways transports 1.604m passengers in Jan-Sep
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan Havo Yollari national airline (Uzbekistan Airways) transported 1.604 million passengers in nine months of 2010. This was announced at the session of the Board of the company dedicated to the results of nine months of 2010.

The session noted that the company achieved growth in all production and financial figures in the reporting period. It was said that Uzbekistan Havo Yollari carried out 17,808 flights in January-September 2010.

The company said that average passenger load per flight rose from 101 persons in January-September 2009 to 112 persons in the same period of 2010. Uzbekistan Havo Yollari transported 35,000 tonnes of cargo, including paid luggage. This figure was achieved due to growth of transportation through Navoi international airport.

The session also considered some issues related to exploitation of Airbus A320 airplanes and readiness of divisions and objects of the airline to autumn-winter period.

The Board underlined that it is important to master full circle of technical maintenance of Airbus A320 aircrafts, which Uzbekistan Havo Yollari received in 2010. It was said that 156 specialists of engineering-aviation service were trained and some 46 people will underwent training in 2010 and 94 specialists in 2011. It was said that technical class A320 started to function. It was said that the class will also be used for further training of engineering-technical fleet of Boeing-767/757 airplanes.

Uzbekistan Airways Technics developed and approved programme on technical maintenance of A302 aircrafts. The enterprise also developed maps for operative forms of technical maintenance and interval works. The company also prepared maps for execution of technical maintenance of A320 airplanes on A-Check form. It also determined list of materials and spare parts for A320 and 95% of them delivered to Tashkent.

The Board also discussed issues on readiness of divisions and objects of the airlines to summer-winter period of 2010-2011. It was said that engineering-technical and flight personnel underwent theoretical and practical training. Aircrafts and helicopters, means on land service and land establishments were prepared to work in winter period.

The Board of the airline adopted several decisions to determine concrete measures on ensuring implementation of important tasks for further development of Uzbekistan Havo Yollari.
