Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In the first half of 2024, Uzbekistan Airways served approximately 2.35 million passengers on international routes.

During the reporting period, the airline transported 360,000 passengers on domestic flights.

In April and May of this year, the Uzbekistan Airways fleet was supplemented with two Airbus A320neo aircraft, increasing the total number of Airbus family aircraft to 24 to ensure continuous operation and quality service.

Two ATR-72-600 aircraft were transferred under the Silk Avia brand of Uzbekistan Helicopters, a subsidiary of Uzbekistan Airways, based on a leasing agreement with the French company ATR. The total number of these types of aircraft has been increased to five.

At the beginning of this year, Silk Avia operated 66 flights per week. Currently, the number of flights on local routes has reached 166 per week. In the first half of 2024, the airline performed a total of 3,277 flights and served 168,798 passengers.
