Uzbekistan Airways reconstructs terminal at Urgench Airport
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan Havo Yollari (Uzbekistan Airways), a national air carrier of Uzbekistan, completed reconstruction of terminal for arriving passengers in Urgench Airport, the airline’s press service said.

The company said that the building of the airport, which was constructed in 1975, was reconstructed for serving passengers from Paris and Milan on the eve new tourism season.

Urgench Airport has been servicing international flights for last three years – one flight a week with 200 persons.

Launch of new terminal will allow to decrease load of Tashkent airport and passengers will have chance to spend two more days in historic cities of Uzbekistan – Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva.

The capacity of new terminal is up to 200 passengers per hour. The airline is planning to launch new flights to Madrid and Rome in near future along with flights to Milan and Paris.
