The Airbus А320aircrafts will be used to carry out flights in internal destinations and to neighboring countries. The Uzbek airline will receive four more aircrafts of A320 modification in 2011.

Uzbekistan Havo Yollari is purchasing Airbus A320 for modernization its fleet. Medium-range A320 aircraft manufactured by Airbus will entirely replace outdated Tu-154 and An-24 aircraft on domestic and regional routes. The Tu-154 and An-24 aircraft operation terminates on 31 December 2010.

A320 aircrafts have been configured in a spacious two class cabin layout seating 150 passengers, 12 in business and 138 in economy. The eco-efficient A320 will benefit from the latest aircraft design and technological improvements contributing to lower fuel burn and emissions.

Airbus A320 airplane consumes twice as less fuel than Tu-154 of the same passenger capacity (2.2 tonne/hour versus 5.5 tonne/hour). This aircraft weighs less and this factor is very important for the aircraft operators. Its avionics is wonderful, and triple backup of all the systems makes this aircraft reliable and safe.

The Uzbek airline started to use Airbus A320 airplane from 19 July 2010, when first A320 started to carry out regular flights of the company.

The company said that after eight month of exploitation, Airbus A320 airplanes are optimal variant of the plane for conducting flights up to 5,000 km.

During this time, the airplanes conducted 1,234 flights (20 flights a week) and transported over 140,000 passengers to Amritsar, Delhi, Tel-Aviv, Lahor, Almaty, Bishkek, Krasnodar, Ufa, Kaliningrad, Novosobirsk, Tyumen, Moscow and Saint Petersburg from regional centers.

The airline said that the flights, carried out by A320 airlines, are highly demanded among passengers due to high level of comfort and modern saloon.
