Uzbekistan Airways prepares technical base for Airbus A320
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan Havo Yollari (Uzbekistan Airways), national airline of Uzbekistan, is adopting measures on preparation system of technical maintenance of Airbus A320 aircrafts.

Within re-equipment of the system on technical maintenance of aircrafts, creation repair base and special infrastructure for maintenance of the aircrafts, the Uzbek airline signed agreement on supply of special equipment for technical maintenance and repair A320 on the base of Uzbekistan Airways Technics.

In particular, Uzbekistan Havo Yollari signed contract with Honeywell (Frankfurt) on repair of auxiliary power units.

In line with Lufthansa contract, the German company will render technical support to A320 fleet of Uzbekistan Havo Yollari. The sides agreed on placement of spare parts for A320 aircrafts in Tashkent, which will ensure use of A320 aircrafts without any interruptions. The German side already started to supply spare parts. The company also ordered fabrics for covers and carpet surface.

The Uzbek airlines signed contract with Messier-Bugatti on supply of thermal packages for repairing breaks.

Uzbekistan Airways Technics received equipment for conducting technical maintenance of A320 aircrafts, including A-check.

The company trained three groups of mechanical engineers and three groups of avionics specialists. Uzbekistan Airways Technics installed technical class A320 for effective training of personnel. The class was supplied by Airbus Industry.

The enterprise plans to train two more groups of mechanical engineers and three groups of avionics specialists this year, including in suburbs of Hamburg. The company plans to train some more specialists in 2011 as well.

As earlier reported, Uzbekistan Havo Yollari received the first midrange Airbus A320 aircraft in July 2010 and the second in August. The airlne received five A320 aircrafts this year and four more in 2011.
