Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A plane from Uzbekistan Airways, operating the Bukhara-Moscow flight, encountered an engine failure while approaching for landing at Vnukovo Airport.

The crew promptly followed all necessary procedures and successfully landed the aircraft.

According to the airline’s press service, the incident occurred on 15 January on flight HY9607. The Airbus A320, with 132 passengers on board, made a safe landing thanks to the professional actions of the crew.

Currently, technical specialists from Uzbekistan Airways are working on repairing the aircraft. To minimize potential disruptions to the flight schedule, a backup plane has already been dispatched to handle subsequent flights from Moscow.

The airline has apologized to passengers for the inconvenience and potential flight delays.
