The event was organized by National Security Service and Interior Ministry of Uzbekistan within a month on fighting circulation of drugs among youth, which is held from 1 February to 1 March.

Head of department on prevention of law violations of transport division of Interior Ministry Mirkomil Mirkurbaniv said that drug addiction leads to growth of crime level. He said that one drug addict can commit theft, robbery, or event homicide. He said that all members of the society should be active in preventing drug circulation.

Head of department on human rights and legal aid of transport division of Interior Ministry Sunnat Sherov briefed the participants on current situation in illegal drug circulation in Uzbekistan and Central Asia as a whole. He said that Central Asia, including Uzbekistan, is transit territory for Afghan drugs. He said that Uzbekistan is actively fighting drug business.

At the event, the participants also watched a documentary film about drugs and young drug addicts, who committed various crimes.
