Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 26 December 2024, Uzbekistan Airways had transported 6 million passengers in 2024.
The 6 millionth passenger was Nikolai Kurilo, a citizen of Kazakhstan, who was traveling on flight HY765 from Tashkent to Almaty.
In honor of this milestone, a ceremony was held at Tashkent International Airport, where the passenger received gifts.
“At the beginning of 2024, we set ambitious goals. And I am proud that, thanks to the coordinated efforts of the entire team, high responsibility, and effective management, the airline achieved such significant results for the first time in its history. It is especially pleasing that this is happening in the context of high competition among air carriers in our market.
Today’s figure is not just a number; it is the trust of our customers, and we will do everything possible to live up to it. I thank every passenger for choosing us for their travels,” said Shukhrat Khudaikulov, Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan Airways.
In 2024, Uzbekistan Airways significantly expanded its network of international flights, launching 11 new regular destinations, and continued to invest in the modernization of its fleet.
