Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation from Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Transport has arrived in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to participate in the International Civil Aviation Negotiation Forum (ICAN-2024), organized by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
ICAN is a platform for aviation authorities of ICAO member countries, facilitating the expansion of international air transport.
Uzbekistan aims to increase the number of flights by four times by 2030, in line with its "Uzbekistan-2030" Strategy.
ICAN is seen as a crucial tool for achieving this ambitious goal.
The Uzbek delegation plans to meet with representatives from 16 countries, including Canada, Spain, Hong Kong, Jordan, Morocco, and Tanzania, to discuss launching new flight routes.
The event, which runs from October 21 to 25, is a significant step in Uzbekistan's plans to boost its aviation industry and strengthen international ties.
