President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov signed a resolution “On programme on further modernization, technical and technological re-equipment of agriculture production for 2012-2016”.

The document is aimed at improving equipment of agriculture and processing industries with modern technologies and equipment.

Uzbekistan Agrotechmash Expo is organized for the first time and it should become platform for presenting latest equipment. The exhibition is organized by the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investment and Trade and Ministry of Agriculture and Water Management of Uzbekistan.

Over 50 companies, insurance and leasing firms, commercial banks from 12 countries are attending the exhibition, which will last till 12 October. Among participants are organizations from China, United States, Germany, the Netherland, South Korea, Israel, France, Turkey and Belarus.

The companies presented tractors and trailers, irrigation equipment, soil processing machinery, harvesting equipment, etc.

The exhibition also includes various seminars and presentations, the organizers said. The farmers will also receive information on opportunities of purchasing equipment.
