Uzbekistan again prolongs tender on sale of 35.55% stake in Uzbekcoal
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbek government prolonged tender on sale of 35.55% shares of Uzbekugol (Uzbekcoal) joint stock company, an announcement of the state commission for conducting tenders on sale of the state property to the foreign investors said.

Now, the bid submission deadline expires at 12 a.m. Tashkent time on the 16 December 2008. Earlier, the deadline was on 10 November 2008.

The announcement said the starting bidding price set at US$30,579,800. The investor should also undertake investment obligation at the amount of US$232 million.

Uzbekugol JSC is a part of state joint stock company Uzbekenergo and is the largest enterprise on coal mining and refining in Central Asia. The main directions of enterprise activity are mining and refining of coal and other associated minerals.
