The document was adopted for further strengthening targeted social protection and increasing level and quality of life of solitary elder persons, pensioners and people with disabilities, improving system of their social protection, as well as strengthening material-technical base of medical-social establishment.

Uzbek President approved programme of additional measures for further strengthening of social protection of solitary elder persons, pensioners and people with disabilities for 2011-2015.

The programme envisages further improving of legal base for social protection of elder persons, pensioners and people with disabilities, as well as system for social protection of elder persons, pensioners and people with disabilities, expanding types and increasing quality of social services.

The document includes measures on treating and rehabilitating elder persons, pensioners and people with disabilities, strengthening measures on medical-social rehabilitation and gerontological aids, as well as improving living conditions and strengthening material-technical base of medical-social establishments.
