Uzbekistan adopts measures to increase the effectiveness of teaching foreign languages to young people

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a resolution on additional measures to increase the effectiveness of teaching foreign languages to young people.

According to this resolution, the National Agency for Youth Affairs received new functions.

In particular, it will improve the processes of teaching foreign languages among young people and improve the conditions for mastering the most popular languages.

The agency will support private training centers, individual entrepreneurs, self-employed individuals and non-governmental educational organizations engaged in teaching foreign languages. It will also conduct regular analyzes and propose solutions to resolve problems in this area.

As part of the new functions of the Agency, it is also envisaged to formulate a rating of private training centers and reward the best of them.

In addition, according to the resolution, youth who have received a certificate of at least level C1 in English, German, French, Korean, Chinese or Japanese will be able to receive financial incentives in the amount of three times the Basic Estimated Value (BVV) to cover training costs (1 million 20 thousand soums).

Also, from 1 September 2024 to 1 January 2027, the minimum score required to cover examination costs for international exams in German, French, Korean, Chinese and Japanese will be reduced by one level.

The resolution also allows private educational centers to use classrooms of general education institutions during the period free from the educational process, on the basis of direct contracts with the right of free use, which will be regulated by the Ministry of Preschool and School Education.
