Uzbekistan adopts measures to decrease prime cost
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Government of Uzbekistan issued a resolution “On additional measures on decreasing production expenses and prime cost in industry”.

The government approved proposals of the companies, associations and other economic bodies on decreasing prime cost at enterprises and largest industrial companies by 11.2% in average in 2013.

According to the document, Uzbekistan developed complex measures directed at decreasing prime cost of industrial goods, first of all, due to decreasing energy consumptions, increasing energy efficiency, rational use of technological processes, introducing ICT, optimization of employees’ number, etc.

The Uzbek government set single criteria and requirement with its regulation on order of formation of programme on localization of ready goods, spare parts and materials based on international cooperation.

One of such requirements is to achieve localization level of the produced good at least at the level of 30%. Special commission could include projects to localization project, in which localization level is less than 30%. But the localization level should be reached 30% in next 12 month. Localization level should be decreased.

New resolution said that decrease of localization level due to implementation of measures on rational and optimal use of technologies, raw materials and energy resources, production expenses, optimization of number of employees will not be considered as violation.
