Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As part of the "Week of International Partnership Initiatives in Uzbekistan," the Ministry of Transport held a roundtable discussion featuring leading international experts focused on reforms in the transport sector and public-private partnership projects.
The roundtable gathered experts from the World Bank, EBRD, BOEING, TAV Technologies, as well as representatives from Uzbekistan Railways, Uzbekistan Airports, and Uzbekistan Airways.
Participants discussed recent achievements in the development of Uzbekistan’s transport and logistics system, prospective PPP projects aimed at modernizing transport infrastructure, the role of international financial institutions in project implementation, and recommendations for attracting investment and developing the transport sector.
Mario Antonio, Director of Strategy and Market Development for Commercial Airplanes in Eurasia at BOEING, noted, "Uzbekistan today demonstrates serious potential for the development of its transport sector. We are confident that joint efforts will help the country become a regional transport hub in the future."
The "Week of International Partnership Initiatives in Uzbekistan" aims to attract investment, enhance cooperation with international organizations, and create favorable conditions for business in the transportation sector.
