The volume of accepted insurance liabilities on these agreements rose by 19% year-on-year to 18.8 trillion soums in the first half of 2013.

According to operative data of the Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan, Uzbekinvest collected insurance premiums for 29.503 billion soums in the reporting period. The growth rate made up 29.1%.

In the reporting period, the company directed 21.4 billion soums of payouts, which rose 6.8 times year-on-year, Uzbekinvest said.

Uzbekinvest rendered insurance services on export insurance for 65.3 billion soums, which rose by 75% year-on-year. The volume of received insurance payouts on export insurance hit 230 million soums with the growth rate of 97%.

The company also insured 42 investment projects with total insurance liabilities of 7.119 trillion soums. The growth rate made u 14%.

The company also provided insurance services to small and private businesses. The company inked 5,000 agreements with small and private businesses in January-June 2013, which rose by 10% year-on-year. The volume of received insurance premiums made up 1.24 billion soums (+35%).

Within the mandatory insurance of civil liability of vehicle owners, Uzbekinvest provided insurance protection for total sum of liabilities 398.90 billion soums. The volume of collected premiums on this product made up 1.8 billion soums and the volume of insurance payouts – 155.6 million soums.

Within the mandatory insurance of civil liability of employers, the company provided coverage for liabilities for 1.009 trillion soums. At the same time, the volume of collected insurance premiums made up 2.5 billion soums and payouts – 678.4 million soums.

Uzbekinvest created four new insurance divisions in the first six months of 2013 in Pakhtakor district of Jizzakh region, Ferghana district of Ferghana region, Balikchi district of Andijan region and Namangan district of Namangan region.

As of 1 July 2013, total number of insurance divisions of the company reached 96 units. Number of regional agents reached 1,116. The company attracted 158 new insurance agents in January-June.
