Uzbekenergotamir: sustainable operation of energy facilities is ensured

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekenergotamir is one of the most important enterprises in the energy industry of our country. The company is implementing large-scale projects related to the preparation of thermal power plants and heating plants for the winter season, ensuring the stable operation of energy facilities.

Today in our country, the process of development of the electric power industry has risen to a new level; previously, work on modernizing the electric power industry and implementing new investment projects in our country was carried out mainly by foreign companies. Thanks to the actions carried out under the leadership of our President aimed at liberalizing the industry and introducing free market mechanisms, today, along with foreign investors, local, competitive companies are also coming into the system. One of such companies is Uzbekenergotamir.

Uzbekenergotamir, by attracting chief engineers of world-famous energy companies to practical classes and experience exchange courses, managed to form a group of highly qualified domestic specialists in a short period of time. Today, almost 2.5 thousand technical specialists of the enterprise contribute to ensuring the sustainable operation of thermal power plants. This was reported by the press service of Uzbekenergotamir.

It is known that in the past the autumn-winter periods for the energy industry were very difficult. If outdated devices failed somewhere, then in some places the incorrect use of electricity, lack of fuel and resources created unforeseen situations.

The head of our state, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, in the process of familiarizing himself with the activities of infrastructure and social sphere facilities in the Uchtepa district of Tashkent on 13 December 2022, based on an in-depth analysis of the situation, adopted a number of decisions and orders, taking into account the identified problems in providing the population with energy resources. Today, the measures he defined are considered the basis for the development of the industry.

Uzbekenergotamir is implementing systematic measures to ensure the implementation of the priority tasks set by the President.

In particular, in accordance with the work plan provided in preparation for the current autumn-winter season, the enterprise at thermal power plants carried out major, medium and current repairs of 55 power plants, including 14 power units, 19 boiler plants, 9 combined cycle gas plants, 1 gas turbine device .

Based on the deficiencies identified by the working groups working around the clock, extensive repair work was carried out on 16 main and auxiliary devices beyond the plan.

In order to provide the residents of the capital with guaranteed thermal energy, the head of our state gave the corresponding instructions to carefully prepare for the season and modernize Tashkent Heat Central LLC.

In this regard, in the shortest possible time, Uzbekenergotamir began large-scale construction and repair work and modernization of thermal centers in Tashkent. In particular, modernization work was carried out in the heating centers “Garbiy” No. 3 of the Shaykhontokhur district and “Chilanzor” No. 5 of the Uchtepa district. In each of the heating centers, two boilers have been reconstructed, which, along with traditional natural gas, are also adapted for burning fuel oil. It is noteworthy that the operation of the device in a hybrid version by burning fuel oil makes it possible to provide consumers with hot water up to 108 degrees even in abnormally cold weather conditions. For information, in the past this figure did not exceed 36-38 degrees.

And in the future, it is envisaged that Uzbekenergotamir will continue high-tempo systemic modernization work in this direction.

On 17-18 October, during the official visit of the Head of our state to the People’s Republic of China, a number of agreements were reached aimed at further strengthening bilateral cooperation. In particular, within the framework of the Uzbek-Chinese business forum, which brought together businessmen from the two countries, many agreements were signed aimed at accelerating the development of economic relations.

In particular, in accordance with the agreements reached with the China National Technical Import and Export Corporation (CNTIC), additional capacities will be created for residents of the city of Tashkent and metropolitan enterprises in economic sectors. To meet the demand of our capital’s consumers for electrical and thermal energy, new, modern and energy-efficient cogeneration capacities will be introduced at the 4-heating center, as well as in the Mirabad, Mirzo-Ulugbek, Shaykhontokhur, Yunusabad, Yashnabad and Uchtepa districts.

It should be noted that these days Uzbekenergotamir is implementing major projects in the energy sector of our country. In cooperation with the American corporation General Electric Global Parts and Products GmbH, measures are being taken to ensure the sustainable operation of existing power plant units. Another noteworthy aspect of the projects being implemented with American partners is the issue of improving the skills and professional skills of young specialists and employees of Uzbekenergotamir - they, together with American specialists, will participate in repair and adjustment work. Through joint action, opportunities have been created for our youth to develop their knowledge and experience in managing and working with internationally recognized energy installations.

The company "China Electric Power Equipment and Technology Co., Ltd.", part of the world-famous Chinese corporation "State Grid", provides for the construction and modernization of open switchgears of power plants, construction and commissioning of new substations. As a result, it is possible to introduce not only modern, but also digital technologies into the system of high-voltage power transmission networks of Uzbekistan, creating new jobs.

Uzbekenergotamir is also implementing projects for the local production of import-substituting highly efficient and modern energy devices for the modernization and reconstruction of power plants in our country.

And today, specialists of Uzbekenergotamir, in order to ensure trouble-free conduct of the autumn-winter season, carry out round-the-clock activities at power plants on a duty basis. The main goal is to ensure stable operation of electrical facilities and prevent unpredictable emergency situations.
