Uzbekenergo sums up results of nine months of 2010
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekenergo state joint stock company is ensuring sustainable operation of energy enterprises and implementation of forecast parameters of production activity in 2010.

The company said its enterprises decreased prime cost of produced products by 11.3% in the first nine months of 2010 and produced localized goods with 25.7% surplus to plan.

In nine months of 2010, the enterprises of the company ensured execution of production forecast parameters.

The volume of goods production was fulfilled with 1.7% surplus to forecast. The growth rate made up 3.6%. The company provided electricity at the volume in line with signed agreements.

Uzbekenergo supplied electricity on direct agreements to Afghanistan and Tajikistan, rendered design and construction works.

The company adopted measures on implementation of investment projects, envisaged in resolution of the president “On programme of measures on implementation of important projects on modernization, technical and technological re-equipment of production for 2009-2014” from 12 March 2009 and presidential resolution “On investment programme of Uzbekistan for 2010” from 28 October 2010.

Uzbekenergo also implements investment projects on construction f new, modernization and reconstruction of existing power objects in line with the Investment Programme for 2010.

The company is completing work on construction high voltage line 500 kilowatt “Syrdarya thermal power station – Sogdiana substation” and implements project “Construction of objects on external poer supply to Tashkent city” and others.

In thermal power, the company is realizing projects on construction of combined cycle gas turbines at Navoi and Talimarjan thermal power stations, transfer of energy blocks No. 1-5 at Novo-Angren thermal power station to coal burning (1 stage) with modernization of Angren pit, etc.

The enterprise is also working on project “Introduction of automated system on control and accounting electricity at energy system of Uzbekistan (1 phase)” (ASKUE).

Currently over 200 electronic power meters were installed at economic entities, and local ASKUE systems created at 380 enterprises. The enterprises installed 1.7 million modern power meters in domestic sector.
