The sides noted that the cooperation between the states are developing in many spheres, including in energy.

The report said the energy sector takes key place in cooperation of two states and Uzbekistan is ready to increase electricity supplies to Afghanistan.

Muhammad Ismailkhan said cooperation with Uzbekistan play an important role in meeting demand of Afghanistan in electricity and the country highly values interaction of two states in the issue. He added Afghanistan is interested in further strengthening of relations in energy sector with Uzbekistan.

The delegation held talks at the Uzbekenergo state joint-stock-company on enhancing cooperation in energy sector and implementation of joint projects. After the talks, the sides signed a memorandum of understanding between Uzbekenergo and Minister of energy and water resources of Afghanistan.
