Uzbek young people became laureates of intl competition

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Three pupils of secondary educational school No. 1 and school No. 3 of Yozyovon district of Ferghana region of Uzbekistan became laureates of international competition named after Philippe Senghor, French Embassy in Tashkent said.

The competition is aimed at revealing talented youth among pupils of schools with teaching French language worldwide.

International jury, which gathered in Hammamet (Tunisia), selected the best pupils from 11 counties of the world, including from Uzbekistan. Jury rated imagination, pictures, as well as knowledge f of French language.

French Ambassador to Uzbekistan François Gauthier visited Ferghana Valley to hand over books, published for their honour, and congratulated young pupils and their teachers.

François Gauthier participated at the regional seminar dedicated to teaching French language, which was held at the school No. 3 named after Joseph Martin. The event was organized by Public Education Department and Cultural Department of French Embassy in Tashkent.
