Uzbek young chess players performed successfully at the World Chess Olympiad

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – From 28 October to 6 November 2019, the World Chess Olympiad among juniors under 16 was held in the city of Chorum (Turkey).

At the Olympics, the honor of Uzbekistan was defended by international grandmasters Nodirbek Abdusattorov, Javokhir Sindarov, FIDE masters Ali Kasimov, Muhiddin Madaminov, international master of sports Umida Omonova. In these competitions, our representatives became the second in the team event among 250 countries of the world.

Participants were evaluated according to the Swiss system, which consisted of 9 rounds. According to the results of the last round, our representatives scored 15 points and won second place. Also, according to the results of the personal classification, the grandmasters of the international category Nodirbek Abdusattorov and Javokhir Sindarov won silver medals.

At last year’s Olympics, young men from Uzbekistan won the first place. Competitors will return to Tashkent tonight.
