Uzbek wine producers get three medals at “Wine for Asia 2010”
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Enterprises of Uzbekistan received three gold medals within the exhibition “Wine for Asia 2010” in Singapore, Jahon news agency reported.

According to the agency, Uzvinosanoat-holding company participated at the work of the exhibition “Wine for Asia 2010” for the first time.

The Uzbek wine producers presented locally made wines at the exhibition. In the result of degustation evaluation, enterprises of Uzbekistan received three gold medals. In particular, Sharob Urgench, Kombinat Tashkentvino and Shakhrisabz vino-aroq received awards.

The agency said that along with the Uzbek companies over 300 foreign firms from such countries as Italy, Spain, France, Australia, Singapore, New Zealand, Portugal, Austria and others participated at the exhibition.

Within the exhibition, various seminars, forums and conferences were organized. Participants discussed problems, trends and strategies of the Asian wine market, raising competitiveness of Asian wines, etc.

The agency said that EPHRAIM expressed interest in importing of alcohol products from Uzbekistan and offered to create trade house and specialized shops to sell products of Uzvinosanoat-holding.
