More than 10,000 participants from 180 countries demonstrated their tourism potential at the fair, Jahon information agency reported.

The delegation from Uzbekistan led by the head of Uzbektourism National Company Z. Khakimov also participated in it. The representatives of Uzbekiston Havo Yollari National Air Company, private tourism companies and others also traveled to Germany as a part of the Uzbek delegation.

ITB Berlin is one of the largest international tourism fairs, which unites the tourism companies, national and regional tour organizations, hotels, and transport and insurance companies. The leaders of world tourism industry meet here to present their proposals and conclude cooperation agreements.

In the framework of the forum the Uzbek specialists showcased information on rich palette of tourism potential development of Uzbekistan. The members of delegation held business talks with the representatives of European tourism companies in which the sides discussed increasing the stream of tourists from Europe to Uzbekistan.

"Our tourism agency located in Berlin. We have been cooperating for several years with the Uzbek tourism companies as the Oriental Voyages," Ventus Reisen GmbH tourism agency managing director Regina Herberts said. "During this period of time we have sent hundreds of German tourists to Uzbekistan. They all were happy about their travels, the Uzbek hospitality, new comfortable hotels and amicable atmosphere in Uzbekistan".

During the stay in Germany the delegation of Uzbektourism held presentation on tourism potential of Uzbekistan at the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Berlin. The representatives of state, political, business and public circles, the well-known tourism operators of Germany and Europe, as well as mass media participated in the event.
