Uzbek students’ debates held in Tashkent
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- UN Information Office in cooperation with the Uzbek World Economy and Diplomacy University at the support of the UNDP and Sharq Telecom held a debates of the students of Tashkent Oriental Institute, Uzbek World Economy and Diplomacy University, International Westminster University in Tashkent and Tashkent Islam University.

The debates were dedicated to management of natural resources to decrease potential disputes and they were part of events dedicated to celebrate International Day of Peace.

In line with the rules, the students should develop strategy of rational use of natural resources to ensure sustainable development.

The debates were held in four rounds. In the first they presented their reports on problems related to irrational use of natural resources and participants gave questions.

Uzbek World Economy and Diplomacy University and International Westminster University in Tashkent reached the second round. In the second round, they presented projects, which directed to solve existing problems, indicated in the first round.

After that, the students started debates to prove that the projects of the opponents are not practical. Students of Uzbek World Economy and Diplomacy University won the debates.

The organizers handed over gifts and certificates to the winners.
