Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev is in the United States to participate in the 78th session of the UN General Assembly.

During the visit, a number of agreements and contracts were signed between the two countries to expand trade and economic relations, attract American brands to our country, and supply our leather and footwear products under the “Made in Uzbekistan” brand to the markets of Uzbekistan.

In particular, the Andijan enterprise Classica Shoes International, which is part of the Uzcharmsanoat association and specializes in the production of products under the KFK brand, entered into an agreement with the American company YNK for the supply of school shoes.

The YNK supplies school uniforms and shoes for children from grades 1 to 12 for US schools. The company’s mission is to provide students with high-quality and reliable clothing and footwear. The company has earned the trust of US schools by producing clothes and shoes made from 100% cotton and genuine leather. It is for this reason that US schools sign large contracts with the company every year.

Now among the partners of “YNK” is the enterprise “Classica Shoes International” of Uzbekistan. High quality and international standards in design and production did not go unnoticed by the American company - an export contract was signed with it for the purchase of 35 thousand pairs of shoes for 2024. The total contract amount is about US$500,000. This start will definitely increase the volume of exports of high-quality Uzbek products to the US markets.

Thus, from the 2024 academic year, US school students will begin attending classes wearing shoes marked “Made in Uzbekistan.”
