Uzbek scientists develop new ‘effective’ medicament against flu
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Specialists of Institute of Chemistry and Polymers Physics of Uzbekistan Science Academy and Scientific-Production Enterprise Radiks developed new medicament for preventing and treatment of sharp respiratory virus diseases, including various dangerous flues.

Uzbekistan Today reported that new medicament titled Celagripp will be realized through the drugstores of Uzbekistan in near future.

History of creating medicament was launched several years ago, when scientists of Institute of Chemistry and Polymers Physics of Uzbekistan receive medical substance from cotton, which is effective for treatment of respiratory virus deceases.

Foreign pharmaceutical producers expressed interests to substance. Seven year ago, pills Keotsel were introduced in the market, which still produced from raw materials, produced in Uzbekistan. The Institute continued work on improvement of medicament formula and received new medicament Celagripp. Radiks started to produce medicament.

Abdushukur Sarimsokov, director of the Intitute, said new medicament pushed organism to produce more interferon, natural substance of human organism, which is responsible for fighting dangerous viruses.

Sarimsokov added: “We received interesting result during trials of Celagripp at the National Flu Center under Scientific-Research Institute of Virology of Uzbekistan Health Ministry. Laboratory trial showed that medicament is effective against all known flu virus, including H5N1 (avian flu) and H1N1 (swine flu).”
