Translated by Uzbek researcher Ergash Zakir Achilov, the selection contains works by Sanaei Ghaznavi, Abulvafa Kharazmi, Khajeh Abdollah Ansari, Najm al-Din Kubra, Molana Jalal ad-Din Rumi, and Shah Nematollah Vali.

His Uzbek translation of poetry by Rudaki and Baba Taher have been completed and will soon be published, Achilov told Mehr News Agency, adding that the book will be published by Sharq Publications.

“I have also previously translated a selection of works by Sadi, Hafez, and Khayyam into Uzbek that was well received by the Uzbek nation,” he remarked.

Achilov is currently involved in research at the Alisher Navoi’s Institute of Language and Literature at the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, and to date has published around 200 articles about Persian literature in different magazines in Uzbekistan, Russia, and Iran.
