Uzbek, Russian officials discuss relations between states
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenepatentuary of Uzbekistan to Russia Ilhom Nematov and State Secretary – Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Grigoriy Karasin held a telephone conversation on 15 January.
During the talk, the sides considered current affairs and perspectives of the Russian-Uzbek relations, including in context of preparation to upcoming visit of the Uzbek President Islam Karimov to the Russian Federation, as well as the SCO Summit in Tashkent on 10-11 June 2010.
The sides also discussed issues related to upcoming consultations of SCO representatives in Moscow on Afghan problem. The consultations will be held on the eve of London conference on Afghanistan.
Uzbekistan will be represented by the Deputy Foreign Bakhtiyor Islamov at the Moscow consultations.
