Welcoming the guest, Uzbek leader said that current meeting provides good opportunity to exchange opinion on wide-range of issues of the Uzbek-Ukrainian cooperation.

At the meeting, the sides considered issues of cooperation in economic sector, expanding bilateral trade, UzA reported.

The volume of mutual trade in 2011 made up US$665.9 million. There are 48 enterprises with Ukrainian capital in Uzbekistan.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister expressed frank gratitude to the Uzbek President for reception and confirmed readiness of the Ukrainian leadership to lift bilateral relation to new high level, which meets long-term interests of two states and people.

At the negotiations, the sides discussed perspectives of development of cooperation between Ukraine and Uzbekistan, regional and international issues of mutual interest.
