Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 12 September, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation from Türkiye, which included Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, and Director of the National Intelligence Organization Ibrahim Kalin.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Turkish representatives conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan to the President of Uzbekistan.

The negotiations focused on key issues related to further strengthening Uzbek-Turkish relations within the framework of strategic partnership, as well as the development of multifaceted cooperation based on agreements reached during the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Türkiye on 6-7 June 2024.

The results of the joint meeting of ministers and heads of departments from both countries were highly praised. The participants emphasized the importance of continuing regular contacts according to the adopted "roadmap" and expanding the agenda of the negotiations.

Special attention was given to deepening political dialogue, advancing trade, economic, and investment projects, as well as enhancing the coordination of departments in addressing modern challenges and security threats.

The meeting also included an exchange of views on regional cooperation and interaction within international organizations.
