Uzbek President Held a Phone Conversation with the Mufti of Uzbekistan Regarding Hajj and Conditions for Pilgrims

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 31 May, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a phone conversation with the Chairman of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan, Mufti Sheikh Nuriddin Holiknazar.

During these sacred days, our compatriots are in Mecca performing the Hajj pilgrimage, and the head of state inquired about the conditions of their stay, as well as the health and morale of the pilgrims.

The Mufti reported that all necessary organizational measures have been taken to ensure the proper conduct of the pilgrimage. At present, all 15,000 pilgrims from Uzbekistan have arrived in Saudi Arabia, accompanied by over 300 group leaders, 50 highly qualified doctors, more than 10 cooks, and other specialists.

This year, at the request of the Uzbek side, enclosed tents equipped with thermal insulation panels, cooling systems, carpets, and bedding were installed in the Arafat Valley, providing additional comfort for pilgrims amid the summer heat.

Preparation for the Hajj season has been carried out at a higher level, with all necessary conditions created to ensure the successful completion of the ritual. Our compatriots, filled with gratitude, pray in the holy sites for peace and prosperity for the country and its people.

Mufti Nuriddin Holiknazar conveyed greetings and kind wishes from the pilgrims to the President, to which the head of state responded warmly, wishing them a safe return home.

The conversation took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere, with the hope expressed that upon their return, the esteemed pilgrims will serve as examples in strengthening the social environment in their local communities, assist those in need, and engage in educating the youth.
