UzA said the lower house passed laws "On Ratification of Minimum Age Convention " and "On Ratification of Worst Forms of Child Labour Convention".
Uzbekistan joined the ILO in 1992. The Minimum Age Convention was adopted by the 58th Session of the ILO General Conference on 26 June 1973 and the Worst Forms of Child Labour Convention by the 87th Session of the ILO General Conference 17 June 1999. Both of them had been adopted in Geneva, Switzerland.
The report added that the laws will be directed to the Senate (upper house) of the Oliy Majlis for approval.
