At the session, the sides discussed diplomatic relations, inter-parliamentary ties, internal and external policies of Uzbekistan and India, their trade-economic relations, cooperation in tourism and culture.
Ambassador Solih Inogomov said that relations between people of Uzbekistan and India have centuries-old history.
It was said that India is one of the first countries, which recognized independence of Uzbekistan. For last period, two sides signed over 130 legal documents, which covers almost all directions of bilateral cooperation and allow to develop bilateral cooperation.
At the session, it was noted that wide-scale work were conducted to develop and diversify economic relations between two states. Currently, India is one of the largest partners of Uzbekistan in tourism, light and textile industry, pharmaceutics, etc.
It was stated that mutual beneficial contacts were set in developing education, healthcare, science and technology, tourism, culture, strengthening inter-parliamentary relations.
