Uzbek parliament discuss introduction of e-document flow
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Committee of Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan in information and communication technologies hosted an expanded session in Tashkent, UzA reported.

The session was dedicated to measures, adopted at Ministry of Culture and Sport of Uzbekistan and State Committee of Uzbekistan on Statistics on introduction of electronic document flow and electronic digital signature in their activities.

Uzbekistan adopted laws “On electronic digital signature” and “On electronic document flow”, which provided legal force to electronic documents and determined that e-signature is mandatory for e-documents.

Committee of Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan in information and communication technologies regularly studies execution of these two documents by the state bodies. In April 2012, Ministry of Culture and Sport of Uzbekistan and State Committee of Uzbekistan on Statistics presented reports on execution of these documents. At the end of the session, the decision on further improving work on introduction of e-document flow and e-signature at these bodies was adopted.

The current session considered implementation of the decision. MPs, experts, representatives of state bodies and others participated at the session.

During the session, representatives of Ministry of Culture and Sport of Uzbekistan and State Committee of Uzbekistan on Statistics presented reports on conducted works on implementation of e-document flow and e-signature in these bodies.

It was said that Ministry of Culture and Sport of Uzbekistan developed and introduced SKM Sport Tadbir software to automate schedule of sport events, monitor their organization and spend funds.

State Committee of Uzbekistan on Statistics introduces mechanisms on formation and dissemination of statistic bulletins in electronic forms, expand system on submission of statistics reports via Internet. The committee also introduce new module “Notification”, which ensure information exchange between state registration bodies and statistics organizations.

In 2012, share of electronic document flow in the State Statistics Committee made up 81.5%. The committee also regularly works on updating e-signature keys and prolonging them.

At the end of the session, the participants adopted a corresponding decision.
