Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - On the first day of the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics, para-swimmer from Uzbekistan Islam Aslanov won the first bronze medal.

Two representatives of Uzbekistan took part in the 100-meter butterfly among men (category S13).

Islam Aslanov won bronze with 57.12 seconds. Other para-swimmer Muzaffar Tursunkhuzhaev took fifth place with a result of 57.44 seconds. Also, in the women’s final of the same direction, the representative of the national team of Uzbekistan Shokhsanam Toshpulatova was fourth.
